Rev. Jackson launches “Start Voting, Stop Shooting” campaign
Chicago: -- As the nation tries to come to grips with the latest school shooting and slaughter, Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. will visit two Chicago high schools on Friday, Feb. 16, to deliver a message of hope and peace and to announce a "start voting, stop shooting" campaign.
Rev. Jackson will address the students and staff at Curie Metropolitan High School, 4959 S. Archer Ave., Chicago, IL, at 8 a.m.
Immediately following, he will travel to the Far South Side to Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, 250 E. 111th Street, Chicago, IL, where he is expected to arrive around 10 a.m.
Rainbow PUSH Coalition is a multi-racial, multi-issue, progressive, international organization that was
formed in December 1996 by the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. through merging of two organizations he
founded Operation PUSH People United to Serve Humanity (estab. 1971) and the Rainbow Coalition (estab.
