REV. JACKSON AND THE MOTHER OF BERNARD KERSH HEADED FOR 26TH AND CALIFORNIA TO BOND HIM OUT OF JAIL TONIGHT

Chicago, IL:  Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. will join Mrs. Keisha Johnson in getting her son, Bernard Kersh, out of Cook County Jail tonight, Friday, December 6, 2019.

The Illinois Department of Corrections has withdrew its hold on Kersh’s parole allowing him to make bail and be released.

Kersh, 29, was arrested on Thanksgiving Day at 79th and Cottage Grove for allegedly drinking. Kersh is accused of licking the face of a police officer then spitting in his face. The officer body slammed and arrested him prompting calls of outrage by Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. who said it was “unnecessary force that could have cracked his skull.”

Rev. Jackson is posting his $5,000 bond tonight. He is on his way now and should be at 26th and California, Post 5 entrance, to post the bond.
