Rainbow PUSH to host Illinois Attorney General forum
Chicago: -- The Rainbow PUSH Coalition will host an Illinois Attorney General candidate’s forum Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters, 930 E. 5th St., Chicago, IL.
Since Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan announce she would not seek a fifth term, eight Democrats have announced their candidacy.
The confirmed Democratic attorney general candidates for Saturday’s Rainbow PUSH forum are:
Illinois Senator Kwame Raoul, Attorney Aaron Goldstein, former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti, Chicago Park District Board President Jesse Ruiz, Illinois Rep. Scott Drury, Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering and former Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn.
The issues being discussed will vary from promises of being more transparent to being tougher on corruption.
The primary is being held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
The forum will be moderated by the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and Bonita Parker, COO of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.
